Using the Session Builder to Build Mock Employee Sessions

This topic shows you how to use the Session Builder on the tracking screen to build a mock or "fake" Employee Session. This tool is useful when you want to create an Employee session in order to enter session data into the system without having an Employee physically drive a session. You might want to use this tool when you need to have session data entered into the system for testing purposes.

To build an Employee session using the Session Builder

  1. Open the Tracking screen for the department that you want to build an Employee session in.
  2. In the Tracking screen, go to the Tool Panels toolbar located at the top-left of the screen.
  3. On the Tool Panels, click the button.
  4. On the Session Builder box, select a Device/Employee from the Device drop-down box. This will be the Employee/Device that you will record the mock session for. Remember, Devices are assigned to Employees.
  5. On the Session Builder, select a start date for the Employee session from the Start Date Time drop-down boxes.
  6. Click the button to start recording the session.
  7. On the map, click where you want to place each point for the Employee session.
  8. Click the when you are ready to commit and save the session.

Note: The Employee session will now be saved and entered into the system. This Employee session will now exist in the department in which you built the session.
